This cute puppy may be on Santa’s naughty list this year.
Police at a Massachusetts police department caught golden retriever Ben stealing toys donated for children in need.
Ben is the department’s therapy dog.
When toys started disappearing from the police department’s donation drive, officers had no suspects, until they caught Ben in the act!
Police caught Ben carrying a baby doll and he tried to outrun officers.
But when he tried to escape he only ended up leading them right to the stash of stolen toys, which was by his bed under a desk.
Police were unable to recover the stolen toys from Ben, due to the excess slobber on the toys.
Officers instead have replaced the toys.
A deputy said that when Ben saw the toys he thought they all belonged to him.
Ben has now been banned from the toy room but police say Ben is a “ray of sunshine” in the department.
