An eight-year-old young Australian boy named Corona Devries was having a tough time amid the Covid-19 outbreak.
Instead of getting mad, the boy wrote a letter to Hollywood star Tom Hanks to wish him well after he tested positive for coronavirus.
Corona grew up knowing Tom Hanks as Woody from the Pixar movie “Toy Story.”
To Corona’s surprise, Hanks replied back!
Hanks sent the boy a Corona brand typewriter with a type writer-typed personal thank you letter.
It read, in part, “Dear friend, your letter made my wife and I feel so wonderful. I thought this typewriter would suit you. Ask a grown-up how it works and use it to write me back.”
The letter is signed up with a handwritten note that said “PS you’ve got a friend in me.”
Corona’s parents say he was over the moon ecstatically by Hanks’ letter and gift and he’s already crafting his typewritten response.
