According to records at the Hennepin County Jail, Sunday 35-year-old Bogdan Vechirko drove his truck into a crowd of protesters on a Minnesota interstate.
The incident took place on the I-35W bridge.
He has been charged with assault.
According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety no protesters were hurt during the incident.
Authorities say Vechirko’s alleged action incited “a crowd of peaceful demonstrators.”
Vechirko was treated at a hospital for minor injuries to his eyes and nose after getting into a fight with protesters.
He is being held without bail.
