As anger and heartbreak sweep across America, many children are watching it all unfold.

Many have questions, some are scared and others want to get involved.

CNN partnered with the popular children’s series Sesame Street talk to kids about racism, the nationwide protests, diversity and how to be more empathetic and understanding.

They will be joined by Sesame Street characters Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Rosita and other experts to answer questions submitted by families.
