Considering all of the unrest that has taken place recently now is the best time for the top five inspiring and uplifting stories of the week.

Interestingly enough many of the stories occurred in the midst of protests, like this first video.

Demonstrators in New York and Georgia demonstrated their electric slide dance moves while protesting.

In Minneapolis Davide Martello drove 12 hours from Oklahoma City to put a piano at the memorial site where George Floyd died.

The unexpected gesture brought the community together through music.

And then there is this image of an unidentified Atlanta police officer taking a knee in support of the marchers.

The newest graduate of St. John’s College in New York is 88-year-old Pat Branley.

He finished the journey he started 60 years ago.

In 1960 Branley was just two classes shy of an undergraduate degree but dropped out to pursue a firefighting career.

Fast-forward to 2020 and Branley finally got to finish what he started.

Now while his fellow classmates look to begin their careers, Branley is looking forward to retirement.

And finally get out your spoons or waffle cones.

It’s national chocolate ice cream day!

Chocolate ice cream is the second most common flavor right behind vanilla.

It’s been popular in the United States since the late 19th century.

It’s made with all the usual ingredients: eggs, cream, vanilla, sugar.

Cocoa powder is the magic key in the sweet treat.

If plain chocolate is not good enough you can add marshmallows, nuts or even chunks of brownie to intensify that sweet, rich flavor.

Whatever your preference, eat up and enjoy!
